Food Tour MARSEILLE CENTER - 4 hours

We’ll start in the oldest port in France, le “Vieux Port”, where we’ll wind our way up the little streets stopping.

Discover the city center of Marseille by exploring its most cosmopolitan neighborhood: the Noailles district. Known for its Mediterranean cuisine specialties and found just next to the famous avenue, la Canebiére and the Vieux Port. You’ll taste Marseille’s unique specialties, from its favorite snack, panisse, to the time-tested aperitif, pastis!

Food Tour MARSEILLE LE PANIER - 4 hours

We’ll start in the oldest neighborhood in France, le Panier, where we’ll wind our way up the little streets stopping.

Have you heard of the famous pastis of Marseille? You’ll meet a pastis maker who’ll take you through the steps of its production (strictly organic) followed by a tasting of the best pastis and absinthes of Provence. You’ll discover panisse, a culinary specialty which is originally from Liguria and made from chickpea flour. Along the way there will be tastings of goat cheeses, different breads, olive oils, tapenades, and various sardine and anchovy pastes.


We’ll start in the the highest point in Marseille, Notre Dame de la Garde where we’ll wind our way up the little streets stopping.

In the St. Victor neighborhood you’ll discover a unique, Marseille treat, the « navette ». Shaped like a little boat, this sugar biscuit flavored with orange flower is a favorite here and represents a strong link to the past. You’ll visit the oldest bakery in Marseille, « Les Four des Navettes », dating back before the French Revolution. They claim oven is over 230 years old. Then we’ll go on to taste a number of delicious cheeses and wines of Provence.
