In the middle ages, trade in hides and skins develops in Grasse. This activity generating a strong smell, manufacturers perfume their production of gloves, bags and belts from the Renaissance to meet a fashion now for Italy and the entourage of Queen Catherine de Medici.
Grasse microclimate allows to grow on-site of flowers in delicate fragrances such as rose, jasmine, Daffodil, carnation, orange blossom and violet. We will unveil how a perfumer or a “nose” masters the art of fragrance creation while learning about the history of the perfume. We do
explain which raw materials are used and how they are extracted. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to compose their own toilet (100 ml) and customize it with aromatic water notes, citrus family and orange blossom.
